Join FaHRM and GU Politics on November 9th for our first annual health policy summit, "Obamacare Lives: Health Reform in 2018 and Beyond." After the healthcare reform battles of the past summer, the current legislative ceasefire seems unlikely to last. Republicans are loath to give up on their nearly decade-long quest to repeal the ACA, while at the same time support for a single payer system has the potential of becoming a litmus test among Democrats. Amidst this polarization, some voices insist that defects in the ACA can be reasonably addressed to bring stability to a sector comprising a sixth of the national economy. This summit will bring disparate voices together to discuss the possibilities and challenges going forward.
Join us in the Old North Student Lounge for a panel discussion featuring Philip Klein (Washington Examiner), Linda Blumberg (The Urban Institute), and Matt Bruenig (People's Policy Project), moderated by Paige Cunningham from The Washington Post's The Health 202. Our discussion will start at 4, with a networking happy hour (and *taco bar*) immediately following from 5 to 6
